What We Have to Say

Which Superhero
We recently had lively discussions about who we would be as a superhero. After a long drawn out debate, here is who we picked and why.
Jeremy
Who else could Jeremy be but Mr. Incredible (or the pointy haired boss but that would be a different blog post.) A really big dude, he sits behind his little desk answering phones by day but at night emerges as a superhero that nobody wants to mess with.
His mission is to save the web - site by site - uncovering impostors who claim "tables are best" or "flash based sites are SEO friendly". Using his strength and durability Jeremy will get the job done. Just like Mr. Incredible, his super strength gives him a leaping ability of a few stories (or at least a counter height.)
Brian
Brian is the stealth network administrator - fixing problems before they're problems, keeping our servers straight and always reminding us what our passwords are (before we know we forgot them.) What better superhero for this cool, calm and collected guy than the anti-hero Bender.
However, when it comes to servers and firewalls, Brian is very much the hero. Always ahead of his time, Brian lives and breaths the bleeding edge, our network and the servers where all of our clients' sites live.
Aaron
With an analytical mind, attention to detail and a downright stickler for spacing Aaron has discovered his hidden superpower talents, just like Kevin Matchstick. And he looks like the handsome devil too!
A weapon of sorts, Aaron uses his fingers to defeat even the most complex coding algorithms and crowns himself King Coder (King Arthur). His existential engagement in life is to wrestle CakePHP into submission and create beautiful, functional, web applications. Even his code is perfect - no bracket out of place, not one stray space. "Muahahahahhaah, the web code world is MINE!" he shouts as he finishes yet another successful project.
Emily
As the others threw out all these crazy names for people, getting funny looks and silly reactions, Emily took the mission home to those who really know superheros - her kids. Electra Woman was chosen because she has big hair and Emily's daughter wanted to be Dyna Girl. And who doesn't love a cheesy theme song?
What's not cheesy is the way Emily can Electra Change into a world class CSS wrangler easily defeating the Evil TableMan. With her lesser known sidekicks Usability, W3C Compliancy, and HTML Validator, Emily saves web applications from the Super-Villainous BloatedCodeMan.
Juan
Juan was the smart one and found the Super Hero Quiz. The result was Iron Man (mostly because he didn't want to wear a cape.) Juan's suit of armor helps him defeat Robert in the Mach 9 Billiard Battles. As winner, he keeps control of the coveted desk drawer organizer.
Like the genius inventor, Juan ranks as one of the top ten most intelligent employees at Mach 9. His super-smarts have helped him quickly learn table-less design, beautiful coding styles, and CakePHP letting him create many successful web sites (between pool games defending his championship of course.)
Robert
Energy! Laughter! Singing! A striking resemblance to Jack Black (but much better looking)! Robert was destined to be Nacho Libre.
A master at Photoshop, there is no gradient he can't do. As a masked Web Designer, Robert creates beautiful, creative, one-of-a-kind designs that uniquely reflect our clients' business, needs and wishes (between challenging his sidekick Tortilla Chip to pool games to get his desk drawer organizer back, of course).
Tara
One word. Storm. The reigning queen of Print layout and Photography, Tara has an uncanny ability to take the finest pictures the web has ever seen.
Her attention to detail and control of the environment make photos for our clients' (and us) extra-special and unique. She has also been known with the touch of her magical powers to control our offices air conditioning making it freezing (or that could be the landlord's fault.)
